Pursuant to Section 7 of Article V of the Constitution of North Dakota, the Governor called a special session of the Legislative Assembly to convene on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, for the purpose of considering and enacting a statutory framework to regulate or prohibit the creation, manufacture, delivery, distribution, sale, purchase, possession, and mislabeling of kratom and kratom products, including the establishment of appropriate criminal penalties, and for other purposes as determined by the Legislative Assembly.
